About Me

I received my Masters Degree in Social Work from the University of Nebraska at Omaha in 1981. I have been licensed with the state of Florida as a Licensed Clinical Social Work since 1986. I have been practicing as a Social Worker in Tampa, Hillsborough and Pinelllas Counties since moving to Tampa in 1981, specializing in and providing treatment services for adults, children, adolescents and couples as well as providing supervision and administrative programming in other private/nonprofit and for profit organizations. I have been in private practice since 2003 and currently the owner of Joel Brooks Counseling Inc.
